Police hunt for Liverpool man accused of child neglect

Police have launched an appeal to find a Liverpool after he failed to attend court where he was due to be sentenced for child neglect.

Anthony Morgan’s absence from the court hearing has led to Police releasing images of him, in a bid to locate his whereabouts.

The 40-year-old, also known as Anthony Murphy, is believed to have links to both Liverpool and Southport, with the last reported sighting of him in the seaside town.

“Merseyside Police is appealing for the public’s help in tracing a man who failed to attend court to be sentenced for child neglect”, stated a Police spokesman.

“The 40 year-old has previously lived in Ullet Road and Rocky Lane in Liverpool, but has recently been seen in the Lord Street area of Southport”, added the statement.

Police have urged anyone with information to contact them on 0151 777 4848, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
