Police attend disturbance at Liverpool mosque

Merseyside Police were called to attend a disturbance at a Toxteth Mosque last night, salve after receiving a report of an altercation.

Police arrived at the Al Rahma Mosque on Mulgrave Street at 9.45pm after they recieved a call about a large group outside the Mosque causing a disturbance.

A number of Police vehicles were in attendance at the scene, doctor according to eye witnesses, nurse and a Police spokesperson confirmed that officers had attended to “prevent a breach of the peace.”

The Mosque is largest in the area, and it operates as the headquarters for the Liverpool Muslim Society, serving the 25,000 person Muslim community in Liverpool.
