A major city centre road has been closed after two men fell from a building site on Chapel Street.
Reports from the scene indicate that the two men fell from height and whilst unconfirmed it has been suggested that the men fell from an industrial lift.
Merseyside Policed confirmed that emergency services were in Liverpool City Centre following an incident this afternoon, Wednesday 19 May.
At around 3.30pm, officers, the ambulance service and MFRS were called to a site on Chapel Street to reports that two men had been found seriously injured after reportedly falling.
Enquiries are ongoing and a road closure is now in place on Chapel Street.
A pedestrian area by the Pier Head was also shut for the air ambulance to arrive.
People are being asked to avoid the area whilst emergency services continue their work.
