Three people have died after a crash in the early hours of Monday morning.
Emergency services were called to East Prescot Road at around 12.15am to reports a BMW collided with the roundabout near to the Greyhound Pub.
A man in his 20s, a woman in her 20s and a man in his 30s were all taken to hospital by ambulance from the scene but have sadly passed away.
Their families have been informed and an investigation continues at the scene, including CCTV, witness and forensic enquiries.
A road closure is in place between the junction of Eaton Road and East Prescot Road to Blackmoor Drive. The roundabout is closed in all directions.
Diversions are in place with police asking motorists to take alternative routes.
The accident happened 48 hours after a motorcyclist was left fighting for his life in a separate incident involving a Hackney cab and an e-scooter near the junction of Blackmoor Drive.
