Sandro Ramirez’s three-year stay at Everton has finally come to an end.
The striker joined to a great fanfare in summer 2017 from Malaga but scored just once from 16 appearances in all competitions over the following season.
Successive loan spells with Sevilla, Real Sociedad and Valladolid followed to similarly unspectacular impact as he remained on the Blues’ books.
But Ramirez’s permanent Goodison Park departure was finally confirmed on Monday as he sealed a free transfer to La Liga newcomers Huesca.
Everton waived their right to a fee in order to offload the 25-year-old, who is understood to have earned £86,000 per week during his time on Merseyside.
Theo Walcott has also departed the club albeit on loan with Southampton reuniting with the player who came through their ranks 15 years ago.
The former England international, 31, will spend the remainder of 2020/21 with his boyhood club after failing to stake a claim in Carlo Ancelotti’s plans.
Walcott issued a statement on his personal Twitter account upon the completion of his homecoming move to thank Evertonians for their support.
He wrote: “It’s been some start to the season @Everton.
“We have a great squad and with Mr Ancelotti in charge I’m sure it’s going to be a great campaign!
“Wishing the fans, players and staff the best of luck…see you soon!”
