Four Liverpool players have been shortlisted for the PFA’s Player of the Year.
Jordan Henderson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and Sadio Mane were all named in the final six-man contention for the players’ union award.
The quartet’s inclusion for the 2019/20 season came after they helped the Anfield club end a more than 30-year wait to clinch the Premier League title.
Manchester City counterparts Kevin de Bruyne and Raheem Sterling filled the remaining two slots for the accolade voted for by their fellow professionals.
Alexander-Arnold is also nominated for Young Player with Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount Bukayo Saka, Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford.
The West Derby-born defender was recently awarded the Premier League’s award while Jurgen Klopp earned the distinction of Manager of the Year.
Mane previously won the PFA Fans’ Player of the Year while Henderson was crowned Footballer of the Year by the Football Writers’ Association.
The winner of the Player of the Year will be announced on Tuesday, September 8 at 7pm.
