Everton have accidentally leaked their new home kit for the 2016-17 season, less than 24 hours before its release.

Fans were given an unexpected early glimpse of the forthcoming Umbro strip after a promotional video was mistakenly leaked on the club’s website.

The kit was originally scheduled to be unveiled on Thursday morning but a glitch on the Blues’ official site has given supporters a chance to see the kit before tomorrow’s launch.

A video showing first-team regulars Seamus Coleman and Muhamed Besic modelling the new strip on the hallowed Goodison Park turf reveals the details of the new kit.

Featuring the coordinates of Goodison and architect Archibald Leitch’s original plans for the ground on the collar, the 2016-17 kit is a typical blue, white, white affair in keeping with club tradition.

The shirt is royal blue with the badge and sponsor set in white, while the socks contain yellow and blue horizontal stripes reminiscent of Everton’s kit for the 1998-99 season- also produced by Umbro.

Everton will wear the strip for the first time against Norwich City on Sunday.
