An Everton fan has been banned for an abusive tirade before the Merseyside derby.
John O’Brien will not be allowed to enter any stadiums in England over a three-year period after his actions before the Blues’ defeat at Anfield last December.
The 21-year-old of St Domingo Road was heard shouting ‘offensive comments’ prior to the derby game in which Divock Origi scored a late winner.
O’Brien was arrested for a s5 public order offence for the remarks, which have not been disclosed by Merseyside Police following his conviction.

He was found guilty by magistrates in Sefton on Wednesday and ordered to pay a fine of £850 in addition to the three-year ban from stadiums.
Last month another Everton fan was given a six-week suspended prison sentence for posting racist abuse about Reds forward Mohamed Salah on social media.
Gary Hyland, 32, from Bootle sent a series of inflammatory tweets about the Egyptian which included an image of him with a superimposed suicide vest.
