Everton FC identify Roberto Martinez’s potential successor

Everton have reportedly identified Saint-Etienne manager Christophe Galtier as Roberto Martinez’s potential successor.

Galtier guided the Ligue 1 side to three successive top five finishes in his six years at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard as well as lifting the Coupe de la Ligue in 2013.

TeamTalk claim that the highly-rated 49-year-old could be bound for the Premier League as the Blues face a summer of upheaval following Martinez’s disastrous tenure.

Goodison Park officials are set to meet to discuss the former Wigan boss’ future this week and Martinez could be condemned to his fate before Sunday and the visit of Norwich City.

Swansea City are also said to be in the hunt for Galtier, who previously worked in England as Portsmouth’s assistant manager under Alain Perrin in 2005.
