Five LFC fans caught selling UCL final tickets

Five Liverpool fans face lifetime bans for selling Champions League final tickets.

Anfield officials pledged to issue tough sanctions for any supporter found to be flogging tickets for their clash with Tottenham in Madrid on June 1.

Spurs announced on Tuesday that three season ticket holders had been given indefinite stadium bans for similar offences in the run-up to the final.

Now the Reds are preparing to take a hardline stance with serial numbers allowing them to trace tickets being sold on back to the perpetrators.

A full investigation will see the five supporters’ cases heard before a club panel that will lead to bans from games at Anfield if they are found guilty.

Tickets for the all-English final at the Estadio Metropolitano in 11 days’ time have been selling in some online marketplaces for between £2,500 and £4,500 apiece.

Liverpool received just 16,613 tickets and used a ballot for eligible season ticket holders, members and fan card holders with six Champions League matches recorded this season.
