Liverpool are in talks over pre-season friendly at Tottenham’s new stadium.
The proposal would see the Reds playing at the new White Hart Lane as the ‘home team’ in a game with Napoli, provisionally set to take place on July 28.
Anfield chiefs have taken the surprise decision due to a number of concerts taking place at their stadium over the summer ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.
Pink, Bon Jovi and Take That are all set to play at Liverpool’s home in June before the playing surface is relaid in time for the forthcoming new season.
Discussions are taking place over a number of alternative venues, including ones in Scotland, but a deal with Spurs would prove mutually beneficial for both clubs.
The Londoners are keen to maximise their earnings from the £850 million arena and have already confirmed a number of NFL fixtures for October this year.
Liverpool previously hosted a friendly at Wembley in 2016 when they took on Barcelona, their opponents in the Champions League semi-final.
Meanwhile the Catalan club have allocated 4,620 tickets for away fans for the first leg clash on Wednesday, May 1, of which costs will be subsidised by Liverpool.
Barca supporters travelling to the return leg at Anfield will be charged €119 to reflect the prices charged to their Merseyside counterparts for the reverse fixture.
Liverpool have confirmed that the additional funds will be passed on to their own fans travelling to Spain, reducing the price of their tickets by €31 to €88.
“The club believes parity of pricing is the most logical approach and remains committed to working with UEFA, ECA (European Club Association) and other member clubs with a view to introducing a more structured ticket pricing process for Champions League matches”, a club statement confirmed.
