Both members of Liverpool band Her’s have been killed in a road crash.
Stephen Fitzpatrick and Audun Laading as well as tour manager Trevor Engelbrektson died while travelling to a gig in California on Wednesday.
Barrow-in-Furness native Mr Fitzpatrick, 24, and Mr Laading, 25, from Norway, formed the group after meeting for the first time while students in the city.
Her’s recently launched their debut album and had been featured on the BBC’s Introducing platform prior to embarking on their tour of the United States.
Record label Heist or Hit has confirmed that the band were embarking on a 350-mile trip to Santa Ana, having performed in Phoenix, Arizona the night before.
In a statement, Heist or Hit said: “We are all heartbroken. Their energy, vibrancy and talent came to define our label.
“As humans, they were warm, gentle and hilarious. Each time they stopped by the office made for an uplifting experience.”
