The trial of two men who have been charged in connection with the deaths of 95 Liverpool fans is due to start today.
David Duckenfield is charged with one count of manslaughter by gross negligence in relation to 95 deaths.
Graham Mackrell is accused of an offence involving the stadium’s safety certificate and a health and safety allegation.
Both of the men deny the charges.
The death of the 96th person to die due to the tragedy can not included in the trial. Mr Bland died in 1993 and laws at the time prevented prosecution when a person died more than 366 days after being injured.
The trial will take place before judge Sir Peter Openshaw at Preston Crown Court. Speaking in court today he suggested that the case might last three/four months.
Court has been called today with 100 potential jurors currently going through the selection process.
