Allardyce seeks Moshiri input on his Everton future

Sam Allardyce wants Farhad Moshiri to clarify his future as Everton manager.

Allardyce received an apology from chairman Bill Kenwright after the Blues asked supporters to mark his current reign out of 10 in a questionnaire.

The one-time England boss came out swinging and claimed Everton marketing chief Richard Kenyon ‘does not have a great understanding of football’.

Speculation continues to mount that Allardyce, who signed an 18-month contract in November, will be offloaded at the end of the current season.

And the 63-year-old hopes that Moshiri, the club’s majority shareholder, would publicly back him to continue in the Goodison Park hot seat.

Asked about the situation, Allardyce said: “I’m not going to tell you what I would do but I would agree with what you say, yes.”

“I don’t think it is my position. I leave them to make their mind up about what they do and what they don’t want to do,” he added

“His [Moshiri’s] life is hugely busy in terms of what he does in the day-to-day running of a massive, multi-billion pound company.

“The direction from him has to come from the people he chooses below him and who he chooses to work with at the football club.”
