West Ham have revived their interest in Everton’s Morgan Schneiderlin.
The midfielder has endured a difficult season at Goodison Park with a series of below-par performances in an already under-performing side.
Schneiderlin was forced to deny reports that he and teammate Kevin Mirallas had been sent home from training earlier in the campaign.
Criticism from the stands has been plentiful and was exacerbated by reports that Schneiderlin, alongside Kevin Mirallas, was sent home from training by David Unsworth back in November.
Sam Allardyce’s appointment afforded the France international a regular run in the Blues’ line-up but speculation surrounding his future has persisted.
West Ham boss David Moyes is reportedly assessing Schneiderlin in his plans to add a defensive midfielder before Wednesday’s January transfer deadline.
He has emerged as a more logical choice for the Londoners due to his experence with both Manchester United and Southampton as well as Everton.
Sky Sports claim that Moyes would be willing to match the Toffees’ original outlay for Schneiderlin and paying £20 million to secure his services.
