A mobile billboard targeting Liverpool’s owners will tour the city before their game with Manchester City.
Campaigners against the Anfield club’s partnership with Tibet Water are also preparing to hand out information to supporters attending Sunday’s game.
International consumer group SumOfUs have confirmed that it will target the club’s commercial water partner in China over alleged human rights abuses.
The Reds originally agreed a deal with Tibet Water in July 2017.
Anfield chief John W. Henry is set to be directly addressed in the billboard, which says: ‘’Under Chinese rule, Tibetans are beaten and tortured for their beliefs.
“John W. Henry: Your deal with Tibet Water legitimises the torture of Tibetans. Liverpool FC: Do we think this is okay?”
Liverpool have refused to comment on the planned protests, which will take the route from the city centre up to Anfield itself.
John Jones, Campaigns and Communications Manager at Free Tibet said: “John W. Henry and Liverpool FC’s directors are now well aware of the objections to their dangerous deal.
“These objections come from Tibetans who want to protect their country and Liverpool fans who expect to see their club conduct itself ethically.
“As one of the largest and most prestigious names in the sport, Liverpool FC has a real chance now to set an example and show that human rights are more important than sponsorship deals.
“By scrapping this deal they can make a powerful stand that Liverpool FC will not tolerate any association with human rights abuses.”
Sondhya Gupta, Senior Campaigner at SumOfUs, added: “It’s quite clear that thousands of people all over the world, including the club’s fans, don’t want Liverpool Football Club to be normalising the brutal Chinese regime in Tibet with this deal.
“Tibet Water owes its profits to the repression, torture and denial of basic political freedoms of the Tibetan people. Is that really something LFC wants to support?”
