Liverpool ready to listen to Sturridge offers

Liverpool are finally willing to sell Daniel Sturridge – but only for £30 million.

Sturridge is in limbo over his first-team prospects at Anfield amid fears of missing out on a place in England’s squad for their World Cup campaign.

Jurgen Klopp wants to retain the striker for the remainder of this season despite him telling the Reds of his desire to pursue regular game time elsewhere.

But the Liverpool Echo claim the Anfield hierarchy will now entertain offers to take Sturridge off their hands permanently if his full valuation is met.

Several Premier League clubs have already emerged as potential suitors for the 28-year-old including West Ham, Southampton and Newcastle United.

Inter Milan are also touted as a potential destination for Sturridge, with the former Chelsea hitman reportedly offering himself to the Italians on loan.

However Liverpool are unwilling to consider short-term deals despite him not featuring since last month’s Champions League win over Spartak Moscow.

Sturridge has made just five starts for Liverpool this season, finding himself marginalised in the pecking order behind first-choice striker Roberto Firmino.

Injuries have regularly curtailed his impact since joining from Stamford Bridge in a £12m deal over five years ago.
