Jurgen Klopp insists Liverpool are as hungry as the fans to win major trophies.
Friday’s FA Cup clash with Everton offers the Reds a fresh chance to end a current silverware drought which has stretched back to 2012.
Almost 12 years have elapsed since they also won the competition while Klopp guided the club to the Europa League and EFL Cup finals in his debut season.
With the Premier League and Champions League both to contend with this season, it had been suggested the German would not be focused on the FA Cup.
Klopp, however, insists he and his squad are determined to win silverware.
He said: “I know that a few people said I don’t respect cup competitions enough but that’s not the truth.
“I have pressure to win trophies but I don’t feel it because it’s a fact. It’s nothing you feel or nothing you know.
“We don’t waste opportunities; we want to be as successful as possible in all that we are doing.
“This is a very big opportunity and of course we are spot on, we want to go, we know about the importance.
“To talk about winning something before you’ve played the first round sounds a little disrespectful. We will try everything to go in the next round.
“The FA Cup is a big competition, it’s another opportunity for us and a big one. I think so far we showed that we really want to win; the boys never left any doubt.
“We have only to be as successful as possible, we try to do that every day. You can dream every day the dream of winning silverware.
“We all know how desperate our supporters are to get something, we are exactly as greedy as they are.”
