Liverpool are set to make Ben Woodburn available on loan in January.
Woodburn has risen to prominence over the past year, both as the Reds’ youngest-ever scorner and with a series of impressive performances for Wales.
Jurgen Klopp is also a keen admirer of the striker, moving quickly to tie his future to Anfield with a new long-term deal back in October.
But the Liverpool manager has been unable to afford regular first-team opportunities to Woodburn due to his side’s strength in depth in attacking areas.
The teenager’s only outing came in September’s Carabao Cup defeat to Leicester City, prompting Klopp to reportedly consider a loan deal best to aid his progress.
The Championship appears the most likely destination, with the Daily Mail claiming ex-Wales boss Chris Coleman is likely to be keen on taking Woodburn to Sunderland.
However there is also understood to be interest from a variety of clubs, with Premier League newcomers Huddersfield Town expected to be in the running.
Klopp’s close friend David Wagner is currently overseeing the Terriers while Leeds United and Bundesliga side Hannover 96 are also thought to be keen.
