New CCTV of witnesses in Sam Cook murder case

Merseyside Police detectives investigating the murder of Sam Cook in October are issuing further CCTV images of three witnesses they are seeking to speak to.

The three men pictured were in the basement of the Empire Bar on the night of the murder (Saturday, 21 October) and detectives would like to speak to them and get any information to help the ongoing investigation.


Detective Chief Inspector Mark Tivendale said: “We are grateful to everyone who has come forward so far, either as witnesses or with additional information, both of which are assisting the investigation.

“However, we want still need to speak to the people pictured as witnesses. I would like to make it clear that they are not suspected of having any involvement in the offence, and would encourage anyone pictured, or who knows who these people are, to contact us at the earliest opportunity.”

Detectives are issuing a further reminder to people with any more images or video inside or near to the Empire Bar from Saturday, 21 October to send them to a dedicated email address for further investigation. The email address is: samcookmurder@merseyside.police.uk and anyone with photos or video can be assured that anything sent will be treated in confidence.
