Dominic Solanke has been called up for England’s friendly with Brazil.
The Liverpool striker is one of three players to make the step up from the Lions’ under-21 side by Gareth Southgate for Tuesday’s game.
He was on the score sheet for the U21s in Friday’s 2-0 win over the Ukraine before Southgate confirmed his inclusion in the latest senior squad.
Solanke joins Angus Gunn and Lewis Cook in being included for the five-time world champions’ visit to Wembley for England’s final game of 2017.
The 20-year-old has featured in seven Premier League games to date for Liverpool this season since arriving on a free transfer from Chelsea during the summer.
Prior to joining the Reds, he was a part of the England team which won the U20 World Cup and also awarded the Player of the Tournament.
Anfield teammate Joe Gomez is another to be promoted from the U21 side on the back of a similarly impressive start to the campaign under Jurgen Klopp.
“Feel incredibly blessed and honoured to get called up to the England senior squad”, Solanke wrote on Twitter.
“Thanks for all the messages.”
