Detectives investigating a stabbing in a West Derby pub have issued CCTV stills of a man they believe could assist with their enquiries.

It was reported a 64-year-old man was stabbed to the back at the Halton Castle pub in Mill Lane on Wednesday, 25 October at around 10pm. He was taken for treatment in hospital. He has since been discharged and is recovering at home.

It is believed the offender then left the premises on foot.

“Alongside our partners, we will continue to educate, enforce and act on any information given to us, to make the streets safer.

“I appeal to anyone who recognises the man pictured in the CCTV stills to come forward and tell us who they are. We also ask anyone who has any information in relation to the incident to contact police so we can find those responsible and bring them to justice.”
