Man charged with Bold Street stabbing

Merseyside Police can confirm that a Kensington man has been arrested and charged following a stabbing in Liverpool City Centre earlier this month.

At around 12.10am on Monday, 9 October, the ambulance service reported that a 14-year-old male had been found at the bottom of Bold Street with a stab wound to his leg. He was given first aid and taken to hospital where his condition was assessed as stable.

Following extensive enquiries, 18-year-old Damon Elliott from Redgrave Street in Kensington was arrested yesterday (Thursday, 26 October) and charged with Section 18 wounding with intent, possession of cannabis and theft of a motor vehicles, in relation to a scooter which is suspected to have been used during the offence.

Elliott was remanded in custody to appear this morning (Friday, 27 October) at Liverpool Adult Remand Court in Derby Square, Liverpool.
