A man has been arrested in the latest developments on Yusuf Sonko’s murder.
The teenager was gunned down in Toxteth at the beginning of June as part of what police believe was a targeted attack.
Detectives detained a 38-year-old from Toxteth on suspicion of conspiracy to murder in connection with the fatal shooting of Mr Sonko, 18, in Tagus Street.
He was taken to a local police station and later released under investigation.
Three people had previously been arrested on suspicion of their involvement with the Liverpool student’s murder but none have been charged.
