Honey Pot nurseries have been given the green light to open their fifth nursery after receiving vital funding from Santander Business Banking.
The family run business has already got four nurseries across Merseyside in Aigburth, Garston, Childwall and one in New Brighton on the Wirral, all graded by OFTSED as outstanding.
After receiving the funding to open their fifth nursery due to the current nurseries all being full, Honey Pot plan to launch their next nursery in Wavertree.
The building acquired is an old church and presbytery building, with the latter being transformed into a day nursery.
Set to open in September, the latest Honey Pot nursery will create up to 18 new jobs and provide childcare to a high standard for a further 91 children in the area.
Co-Founder of Honey Pot Nursery, Julie Hurst said: “We are thrilled to be able to purchase our new site in Wavertree. Opening our fifth nursery is a great milestone for our business, and it’s great to be in a position to respond to the demand for high quality childcare in and around Liverpool. The support from Santander has been exceptional and really helped us expand and invest for growth.”
Also speaking about the latest addition to Honey Pot Nursery, Danielle Simpson, Relationship Director at Santander Business Banking, said: “Honey Pot is a family run business that really knows the local market. The rapid growth of the business is a testament to the hard work of Julie, Tony and their team, and we are really looking forward to seeing the success of the fifth nursery when it opens.”
