Gerard Deulofeu believes that Everton’s upcoming fixture pile up can improve their chances of winning the FA Cup.
A host of games are set to come thick and fasts for the Blues before their Wembley semi-final against either Manchester United or West Ham on April 23, beginning with Wednesday’s trip to Crystal Palace.
But Deulofeu sees the congestion of games, which includes a Merseyside derby with Liverpool, will help Roberto Martinez’s side ahead of their trip to London later this month.
“Yes (we have a busy schedule) but I like to play a lot of games”, he told Everton TV.
“It is much better because your body adapts to playing every few days. As a team, we need to push and take the chance and win the FA Cup if we can.”
Everton’s trip to Palace will be followed by the visit of Southampton to Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon.
However the Anfield derby will leave Everton with little preparation time as next Wednesday’s encounter comes just three days before the Wembley showdown.
