Castle Fine Art to open first Liverpool gallery

Castle Fine Art will open their first-ever gallery in Liverpool next month.

The company’s 34th opening in the UK will take place at Church Alley on July 1, boasting a massive 2636 square feet for retail space in their expansion plans.

Situated across from Bluecoat, the gallery will be in the heart of the city centre in a building that has undergone reconstruction ahead of its grand opening.

The revamped look was done to ensure customers get the ultimate experience when visiting the gallery, where clothing retailer Taking Shape once was.

Coming back to the city, manager Gordon Farmer will oversee the day to day operations after successfully managing Castle Fine Art’s gallery in York.

Ian Weatherby-Blythe, group managing director of Castle Fine Art and Washington Green, said: “With its rich and diverse culture, we couldn’t think of a better investment than to open our newest gallery in Liverpool.

“The gallery’s unique design and the exciting programme of exhibitions and events that will be taking place year round are set to redefine the way the city’s people experience, view and buy art, and we can’t wait to welcome our first visitors.”

Gordon Farmer, gallery manager at Castle Fine Art in Liverpool added: “I’m delighted to be returning home to continue my career as part of Castle Fine Art in Liverpool.

“The impressive design and layout of the new gallery will make for a fantastic experience for visitors and staff alike, and the location in the centre of the city’s cultural scene is ideal to house the work of some of the best artists in the industry.”
