Appeal as woman glassed in Liverpool nightclub

Police are appealing for information after a woman was glassed in a Liverpool nightclub.

A man threw a glass at the woman in Level at around 3.25am on April 17, which resulted in two teeth being chipped and requiring dental surgery.

Police have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to and have urged anyone who has information about the incident to come forward.

Detective Inspector Steve McGrath said: “We know the club would have been busy at the time of the incident with people about to make their way home after a night out in the city.

“We believe that a number of people would have seen the incident and may have vital information which could help us to progress our investigation.

“I’m also sure if you witnessed this assault you would remember it. Any information, no matter how small could assist us in identifying the man responsible.

“We are particularly keen to speak to the man pictured and would urge him to come forward. Similarly, if you recognise him we want to hear from you.

“I would also like to reassure members of the public that Liverpool is a safe place to live, visit and socialise and we are committed to tracing anyone who commits offences in Merseyside so that they can be brought to justice.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Merseyside Police on 0151 777 4065 or the Crimestoppers line anonymously on 0800 555 111.
