Detectives have issued CCTV images of two men they want to trace following a robbery in Allerton last month.
Two men entered Hays Travel on Allerton Road at about 5.20pm on March 17, walking from the direction of Kingsdale Road, and demanded staff open a safe.
The pair then took cash from a till and the safe before leaving on foot with a quantity of cash in a plastic carrier bag along Kingsdale Road.
Nobody was hurt in the incident but staff were left extremely shaken.
Detective Constable John Causton said: “The area of Allerton Road would have been busy at the time this incident took place.
“While it was raining at the time, it was shortly after 5pm and it was St Patrick’s Day so we believe there may have been people leaving work in the area who may recall seeing something.
“If you were in the area and saw anything which in hindsight seems suspicious, we ask that you contact police as you may have information that could prove vital to our investigation.
“I would ask anyone who recognises the men in the CCTV images to contact us.
“Thankfully nobody was hurt during this incident but I want to reassure the community that we are committed to finding the people responsible and bringing him to justice.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Merseyside Police on 0151 777 4065 or the Crimestoppers line anonymously on 0800 555 111.
