Detectives have launched a murder investigation after a woman’s body was found in Speke.
Police were informed by the ambulance service of a concern for the safety of a 29-year-old at a house in Heaton Close at around 3.10am on Sunday.
She was taken to hospital where she was pronounced deceased at 4.14am.
The woman has been formally identified and a post-mortem is taking place to establish the cause of death.
Officers remain at the house as forensic and house-to-house enquiries continue.
