A man found on a Wirral street has died in hospital.
The ambulance service reported that a man in his 30s had been found on Rocky Lane in Heswall at around 7.40am on Sunday.
He was taken to hospital but was pronounced deceased a short time after, at 8.49am.
A Home Office post mortem has proved inconclusive but the man’s death is not being treated as suspicious at this stage. Further tests will be carried out to determine the cause of death.
CCTV, forensic and house-to-house enquiries are being carried out in the area this morning. Road closures are in place on Rocky Lane, Beacon Lane and Rocky Lane South.
Residents are asked to be patient while detectives carry out their enquiries and motorists are asked to avoid the area where possible.
