A man charged with the attempted rape of a woman near Croxteth Park.
Police were called to Croxteth Hall Lane towards Oak Lane at around 7.50pm last Thursday to claims a woman had been sexually assaulted in nearby bushes.
The man is believed to have then run off in the direction of Deysbrook Lane.
Detectives have now confirmed that Steven John Kelly from Huyton has been charged with attempted rape and sexual assault.
The 39-year-old has been has been remanded in custody to appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court on Tuesday, April 4.
