Body of man found on Brownlow Hill

A man’s body was found in Liverpool city centre during the morning rush hour.

The boy was found at the junction of Brownlow Hill and Crown Street at 7.55am on Monday, close to the University of Liverpool’s faculty buildings.

Police cordoned off the scene while a post mortem took place and a file has been prepared for the coroner pending the findings of toxicology reports.

Merseyside Police have confirmed that the man in his 30s has been identified and his next of kin will be informed.

The force are not treating his death as suspicious.
