A teenager will serve at least 25 years behind bars for killing Mark Hillman.
Brandon Bilsborough has been jailed after the father-of-three suffered multiple gun shot wounds during the fatal incident in Lloyd Close on April 27 last year.
Liverpool Crown Court heard that the 19-year-old lured Mr Hillman, a rival drug dealer, to a house in Everton before shooting him twice in the back.
Connor Hunt, co-accused, was sentenced to eight years after being found guilty of wounding for an attack which saw Mr Hillman slashed in the face earlier in the day.
Detective Chief Inspector Neil Shaw from Merseyside Police said: “Firstly, we’d like to express our deepest sympathy to the Hillman family for the loss of Mark, who was a son, brother and father himself.
“The convictions are as a result of a determined investigation to bring Mark’s killer to justice.
“Ultimately we know that nothing can bring Mark back, but we hope the verdicts and today’s sentences gives his family some sense of justice.

“We are continually asking communities for information about drug dealing and carry out warrants and arrests day in day out, to tackle the issue.
“The death of Mark Hillman highlights why we do this, as well as the danger drugs bring to our communities.
“Drugs are not harmless and amongst criminal groups are a commodity, that they are willing to cause harm, injury and even death for.
“As a force we want to rid the streets of this blight and we continue to work with partners to tackle the issue, but we cannot do this without the help of public.
“Gun, gang and drug crime has very clear, serious and often tragic consequences.
“We continue to do everything in our power to continue to take guns off the streets and out of the hands of criminals.”
