NatWest to open new Liverpool city centre branch

Church Street will become home to NatWest’s latest Liverpool branch.

The high street bank is set to open its newest operation at the heart of the city centre later this year, opposite McDonald’s at the junction with Paradise Street.

Select Fashion previously occupied the building which is one of two properties in the area that is set to undergo renovations in the coming months.

In addition to NatWest, owners NFU Mutual are planning to transform the location of the former Dorothy Perkins and Burton store, which was closed down last year.

Residential accommodation will be integrated into the new building.

Estate agents Savills are advising NFU on the developments, with retail director Dan Walker revealing that a series of potential businesses expressing an interest.

“We have received strong interest in this store and are currently in discussion with a number of interested parties,” he told the Liverpool Echo.

“We look forward to announcing details of a new retailer secured for the space in the near future.”
