Ronald Koeman believes that Everton will reap the benefits of a mid-season trip to Dubai.
Koeman took the decision to fly the Blues first-team squad and backroom staff out as they were afforded a rare weekend off by the FA Cup’s fifth round ties.
Following a goalless draw at Middlesbrough, Everton will spend six days in the Gulf state following their early exit in the competition to Leicester City last month and are set to fly out tomorrow.
And Koeman says that the five-day training camp in sunnier climes will help revitalise his squad ahead of their final 13 matches of the campaign.
“We will go to Dubai I’ve not seen the weather forecast but I hope it’s not the same as Saturday!” he told evertontv.
“We will do good training sessions in better conditions.
“We will stay together from Monday until Saturday and then we will have one week to prepare for Sunderland.”
He added: “It will be good. We have some new faces in the squad and we need to recover.”
