A man was arrested following an attack outside a Liverpool city centre bar.
Police were called to Legends Sports Bar on Button Street just before 10.30pm on Friday following reports that a man in his 30s had suffered a head injury.
The man was taken to hospital where his condition today is described as stable.
It is believed a number of people may have come to the victim’s assistance following the incident, which took place in the Mathew Street area.
A 37 year-old man has been arrested by Merseyside Police on suspicion of S18 wounding and will be interviewed by detectives today.
Detectives would like to speak to anyone who was in the vicinity of Button Street around 10.30pm last night who may be able to assist with their investigations.
