A 90-year-old man is in a serious condition after being hit by a car in West Derby.
The local man was out walking when the collision with a black Mercedes E220 AMG occurred at the junction of Eaton Road and Honeys Green Lane.
Following the incident, which took place at around 6.40pm on Wednesday, the driver of the car stopped at the scene and assisted police with their enquiries.
Merseyside Police have confirmed that the injured pedestrian suffered serious head injuries and is being treated in Aintree’s University Hospital.
