Ronald Koeman has warned Everton fans that there is no quick fix to their current malaise despite acknowledging that his side are under-performing.
Tomorrow’s visit of Arsenal will see the Blues attempt to remedy their current record of just one win from their previous 10 Premier League games.
Everton’s poor form continued with a disappointing 3-2 defeat by Watford last weekend as supporters directed their ire towards Koeman’s struggling side.
But while the Dutchman accepts the current depth of feeling in the stands at Goodison Park, he insists that progress will not be arriving overnight.
He said: “I know most of the opinions because if I’m an Evertonian, and I am, I know the feelings.
“I am also disappointed with one win out of 10 because that’s now what we need to do.
“Of course we will not win every game, but one win in 10 is underperforming for everybody.
“But you need to understand these types of situations it’s not an easy answer; [we have to] fight more, run more.
“It’s about quality on the ball, movement attacking-wise, create chances. You need to play football to understand this.”
