Suspect behind West Kirkby hit-and-run released on bail

The 21 year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of a hit-and-run that left a 16 year old with serious injuries has been released on bail.

The teenager, 16, injured on Friday night is currently in a critical but stable condition following the incident on Friday night in Grange Road, drug West Kirby.

At the time a small silver car was thought to have hit the boy before failing to stop at the scene.

Early on Saturday morning a 21 year old man was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop, causing serious injury through dangerous driving, and drink driving.

A silver Vauxhall corsa has since been seized by police and is undergoing forensic examination.
