A fourth person has been arrested in connection with the death of a man stabbed in a Walton street.
Emergency services were called to Milman Road at 9.50pm on Saturday following reports that a local man had suffered a knife wound.
The 51-year-old was treated for his injuries at the scene but was pronounced dead when he was taken to hospital a short time after.
Police have now arrested a 41-year-old man from Kirkdale on suspicion of the victim’s murder.
Three other people; a 16-year-old boy, a 46-year-old man, and a 37-year-old woman, all from Walton, remain in custody after being detained on Sunday.
A Home Office post mortem has confirmed that the man killed received a singular but fatal stab wound to the underside of his arm.
