Mohamed Salah insists he is not focusing on his long-term Liverpool future.
Salah’s contract at Anfield expires next summer and the forward is yet to agree fresh terms, opening the possibility of a departure after eight years.
Teammates Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold are also approaching the final months of their existing spells with Arne Slot’s side as things stand.
The Egypt international has been linked with a move away since last September, when the Reds rejected a £150 million package from Al-Ittihad.
But ahead of Sunday’s trip to Manchester United, Salah is refusing to look beyond the end of the campaign as he bids to ‘enjoying’ his remaining time.
“Before the season, I was just like ‘I’ve got one year left, let’s just enjoy it and don’t think about the contract’,” he told Sky Sports.
“I don’t want to think about next year or the future, I just want to enjoy the last year [of my contract] and let’s see.
“The most important thing is to take one day at a time and just be grateful to be here.”
