Alisson has revealed he turned down a potential move to Saudi Arabia.
Liverpool’s first-choice goalkeeper continues to be linked with a move to the country’s Pro League, where several former teammates are plying their trade.
The approach for Alisson prompted the Anfield club to assess a long-term succession plan with a deal for Valencia’s Giorgi Mamardashvili imminent.
But the Brazil international insists he plans to remain with the Reds for the duration of his current contract, which has a further two years left to run.
He said: “I want to honour my contract and finish my contract here or make a new one.
“I am really happy here. My family is happy. I never got to the point where I was talking about wages
“It was just interest, but when you hear about the numbers the other players are getting [in Saudi Arabia] you are a little bit attracted. That is normal.
“At the end of the day, you play football for love, it is the thing you like to do, but it is our profession and we want to use the years that we have to make the most of it.
“I am open to that, but now is not the time. I am really focused on the things we have here at Liverpool and while I still have my contract here, I will be focused here.
“If it is in the interest of the club to negotiate, then it will be a different conversation.
“At this time, at this window, I am focused on my job here and my life in Liverpool.”
Alisson has also detailed his first conversation with Arne Slot after the Dutchman replaced Jurgen Klopp at the helm earlier this summer.
Slot reached out to the 31-year-old while representing his country at the Copa America, where the Selecao reached the quarter-final stage.
“It was good,” added Alisson.
“The first contact is really important. It does not define the relationship for the year or the years.
“But it was important to see how clear he is in his ideas and see how cool he is as a person as well.
“He is a nice person, a family man with a lot of conviction in his ideas of what he wants from the players and the team and what he wants to achieve.
“His goals are for greatness, great things at the club. The same as mine.
“So it was a good conversation.”
