Liverpool have requested the VAR audio from Luis Diaz’s disallowed goal.
Anfield chiefs increased pressure on refereeing body PGMOL in the fallout from Saturday’s controversial Premier League defeat against Tottenham.
Both VAR operator Darren England and assistant VAR Dan Cook were stood down from their immediate officiating duties following their oversight.
PGMOL chief Howard Webb also contacted the club to address the incident, which prompted a strongly-worded statement just 24 hours after the game.
But the Reds have now made a formal request for the audio to be released.
Jurgen Klopp’s side also lodged an appeal against Curtis Jones’ red card in the eventual 2-1 defeat as the midfielder prepares to serve a three-match ban.
Jones’ dismissal was upgraded after referee Simon Hooper consulted the VAR monitor, having initially issued a yellow card for his foul on Yves Bissouma.
Liverpool are set to be fined £25,000 after accumulating seven bookings this season including the two that culminated in Diogo Jota’s sending off.
