Mohamed Salah’s agent has dismissed claims that he could leave Liverpool.
Salah penned a new long-term deal last summer, understood to be worth £350,000 per week, that will tie his future to the Anfield club until June 2025.
But Spanish news outlet Fichajes alleged that the Egypt international would consider his options if the Reds failed to qualify for the Champions League.
Saturday’s draw at Crystal Palace left Jurgen Klopp’s side nine points adrift of fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur, who have played two more fixtures.
Responding to the reports on Twitter, Salah’s representative Ramy Abbas Issa emphatically shot down suggestions his client was mulling over a possible exit.
“Nonsense,” he wrote.
“This was never discussed or thought about.
“Not qualifying to the Champions League hasn’t even crossed our minds.”
Salah remains Liverpool’s leading scorer this season with 19 goals from 35 appearances in all competitions heading into Wednesday’s visit of Wolves.
