Divock Origi is one of seven players leaving Liverpool this summer.
Anfield chiefs confirmed that the Belgium international’s seven-year stay with the club will come to an end when his current contract expires on June 30.
Origi made a number of influential contributions during his 175 appearances for the Reds, including scoring in their 2019 Champions League final triumph.
The striker cemented legendary status with two goals that helped Jurgen Klopp’s side produce an improbable semi-final comeback over Barcelona.
He also produced a last-minute winner which saw Liverpool snatch the spoils from a closely-fought Merseyside derby with Everton in December 2018.
After his last goal in April’s 2-0 win over the Toffees, Klopp hailed Origi as ‘a legend on and off the pitch’, adding ‘Everybody loves Div and rightly so’.
Former first-choice goalkeeper Loris Karius is another who will become a free agent at the end of this month after failing to feature for the club since 2018.
The German played 49 games in all competitions for Liverpool, with his last coming in the club’s Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid in Kyiv.
He subsequently spent loan spells with Beskitas and Union Berlin and was an unused member of Klopp’s goalkeeping setup for the previous campaign.
Liverpool’s youngest goalscorer Ben Woodburn and forward Sheyi Ojo are also set to depart alongside three Academy graduates in Elijah Dixon-Bonner, Luis Longstaff and Sean Wilson.
