Dwight McNeil has sent a farewell message to Everton after leaving the club.
McNeil joined Crystal Palace on Tuesday in a straight swap for Brennan Johnson to bring the curtain down on his four-year spell in the blue half of Merseyside.
The winger made a total of 128 appearances for David Moyes’ side, recording 15 goals in that time, after signing from Burnley in July 2022 on a £20 million deal.
He was previously on the verge of an initial loan move to Selhurst Park in the January transfer window before the proposed switch collapsed at the 11th hour.
But after finally sealing his switch to the Eagles, McNeil paid a heartfelt tribute on social media, insisting that he will be ‘forever grateful’ for his time at the club.
“Toffees, it’s been some four years, he wrote.
“I’ve loved every minute of it and I will miss the club sincerely.
“To the fans who always stuck by me, I couldn’t thank you all enough for the support throughout my time at the club and something I will always cherish.
“To the staff thank you all for your support and helping me get through my injury.
“Lastly to the lads…. We’ve made some amazing memories and memories I will be forever grateful for.
“I love you all and I wish you all the best.”
