Aznou reveals Moyes factor in Everton move

Adam Aznou has revealed how David Moyes convinced him to join Everton.

The left-back sealed his move to Merseyside from Bayern Munich on Tuesday in a deal understood to be worth in the region of €9 million (£7.8M).

Aznou, a graduate of Barcelona’s fabled La Masia academy, becomes the Blues’ fourth signing of the summer transfer window after agreeing a four-year contract.

And the Morocco international admitted that conversations with Moyes helped convinced him to make the move to Hill Dickinson Stadium.

He said: “I’m so happy to be here. I’m so proud to be part of this team.

“The project they gave me is really good. The Premier League is the best league in the world so I’m really excited to start.

“The stadium is really nice. It gives you a good feeling and it’s good for our fans to support us. It’s perfect for us.

“I just have to say I’m really thankful to be here. I’m really proud so I will give everything in every training session and every game.

“[Moyes] talked with me, he spoke with me about the team and how he wants me. So I decided directly when I spoke with him.

“I decided really quickly because of the words he gave me. He gave me confidence, so I decided to sign.”
