Silva demands Everton improve away form

Marco Silva has called on Everton to improve their poor away record.

Saturday’s trip to Brighton offers the Blues a chance to put together back-to-back wins in the Premier League for the first time this season.

Silva’s side last tasted victory on their travels against West Ham at the end of March and have only recorded two in total from their previous 10 games.

And the Everton manager is under no illusions of a need to address their problems on the road when they head to the Amex Stadium this weekend.

He said: “We performed so well, we showed that quality and pride in ourselves.

“We have to build from that and believe it was a turning point for us.

“Of course we’re not going to win every match from here until the end of the season.

“But we have to play in that way to win always, to have that pride in ourselves and desire to win the game.

“It’s a must-win game for us again.”

“It’s not good enough what we are doing away, not good enough at all,” added Silva.

“We have to look at this game thinking we can get our first win away. We want to go for as high a position as we can in the table.

“We reacted last game and we should react again.

“Keep that quality and desire because, with that, we can go higher up the table.”
