A film about Howard Kendall’s first spell as Everton manager is set to be released.
Kendall took the Goodison Park hot seat in 1981 and ushered in a spell of unparalleled success for his former club in the following seven years.
The Blues went on to win two First Division titles, the FA Cup and the European Cup Winners’ Cup under their legendary midfielder turned manager.
‘Howard’s Way’ will chronicle that glorious period of Goodison history through interviews from many of Kendall’s players who became household names.
Andy Gray, Kevin Ratcliffe, Peter Reid and Neville Southall are among those who spoke at length on camera about Everton’s heyday in the mid-1980s.
A special event will reunite the club’s 1985 team that won the title and Cup Winners’ Cup in 1985 on the film’s launch date of Monday, November 11.
‘Howard’s Way’ will be available on DVD, blu-ray and digital download as well as a public screening at the Liverpool Film Festival on Saturday, November 2.
The film will also be given an exclusive run at FACT Liverpool from Friday, November 8.
